Hi, I’m Jonathan and I really wanted to name this podcast the “Basement Boyz.” But no one ever listens to me so we got stuck instead with the name you now see. I am a native of Clarksville, TN. I have a wife (Rachel) and two children (Max and Nella). I love teaching. Over the last thirty-five years, I have taught in private schools and churches. I currently own and operate VinsonLaw and Townsend Title. I love spending time with my family and cooking. God and His Word are so marvelous. He has never failed me, and He never will.

Hey, I’m Tim and I wanted to start this podcast out of a desire to see people who have either given up on church or been hurt by it, see the beauty of God’s word in fresh ways that actually make a difference in their lives. I served as a church planter in New Jersey for almost 18 years and recently returned back to middle Tennessee. My heart is to see a renewal of faith communities that move beyond the typical ‘blue’ and ‘red’ political stereotypes and move into authentic community that looks more like Jesus. I have a wonderful wife, Robin, and 2 children in Ian and Emma. In my spare time, I love to read and follow the NY Red Bulls and Dortmund soccer teams.

I’m Wally Vinson. I am Orthodox Christian presuppositionalist (if that even is a word). I am a follower of Jesus, husband to Tara, and daddy to 3 daughters. I am an avowed underachieving middle child suffering from a short man’s complex. I love anything written by Jonathan Edwards, JRR Tolkein, Simon Sinek, and Athanasius. I love bad golf, Star Wars, and hanging out with my girls. I am a frustrated University of Tennessee football and Minnesota Vikings fan. Vocationally, I have served as a minister in various capacities and places for 34 years. I have a BS in History from Austin Peay State University and a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I love God’s Word and love to see others fall in love with His Word.

Hi, I'm Daniel Cox, producer of the "Roots and Relevance" podcast. Our panel of five dives deep into Christian scriptures, uncovering and understanding biblical truths and how they apply to today's culture and thinking. I have a background in media production, with experience from my time producing the Real Life Church podcast and managing video production at City Gate Church. I love a good story and have worked with a fantastic team of church volunteers on video production, animation, storytelling, commercials, and sound production. I'm passionate about making each "Roots and Relevance" episode engaging and insightful.

I’m Riley Vinson. I am a student at Transylvania University where I study Political Science and History. I am a keeper of random, mostly useless facts (especially where Star Wars, Taylor Swift, or the Middle Ages are involved). I love reading, but I can easily get lost in a good tv show or a Youtube video essay. On a serious note, I love learning as much as possible about whatever I can, so I’m really excited about studying scripture with you all!
